Muditha, in both Sanskrit and Pali, means empathetic or vicarious joy derived from the pleasure that comes from delighting in other people's well-being, success and achievements.
Muditha in Muditha Arts Ltd is also an abbreviation or backronym for Music, Dance, Instruments, Theatre and Arts. Muditha Arts plans to feature performances in all these genres but with a difference.
Established in December 2025, Muditha Arts is a community-driven initiative to provide programmes in all five genres – Music, Dance, Instrument, Theatre and fine Arts that will appeal to all age groups and expectations. Muditha Arts will engage Singaporean arts community to come up with new thematic presentation on their own or in collaboration with overseas artistes so as to encourage new creative ideas and sustain their interest in the traditional Indian culture.
The activities could include concerts, recitals, art festivals, symposium, theatre shows, art workshops, exhibitions etc. This is to ensure there is something for everyone and the freshness and novelty of presentation will help to sustain popular interest.
Muditha Arts will explore scope to work with groups to ensure and enhance mental and physical well-being.
